Explore inequality and privilege during a one-hour multi media journey that takes you from the apartheid gold mines of South Africa, to the Canada that we call home today.

Sound the Drums – Stories of Truth is a vibrant and heartfelt look at the systemic inequality of indigenous peoples in both South Africa and Canada: an exploration of justice; and a call to action through music, story telling and dance.

Together we will sound the drums that oppressors sought to keep silent, learn about the South African Gumboot Dance, and share stories that you won’t yet find in your text books.

Format:  Live music, song, story and dance, multi-media, student participation.

“Sound the Drums – Stories of Truth equips Canadians on our own journey of truth and reconciliation, peace, justice and education for all.”
